ARITST BIO

Sia Joung is an interdisciplinary artist living in Kansas City, KS. Her works expand on paintings, murals, installations and video. She has worked on multiple grant projects including Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commissions, Hutchinson Community Foundation, Moxley Trust Foundation and won Art Enhancer Award from Kansas Art Educator Association in 2021. 

Her work has been exhibited in Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, St. Louis, MO, Charlotte Street, Kansas City, MO, CICA Museum, Gimpo, South Korea, Des Lee Gallery, St. Louis, The Delaware Contemporary Art Museum, Wilmington, DE and Delaware College Art Gallery, Media PA.

She holds an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis and a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Iowa. She is currently teaching at Kansas City Art Institute, KCMO.
